Building Strong foundations

We have a vibrant school age program that varies by the time of the year and serves children ages 5 through 12.  

During the school year, typically late August through early June, school age students will arrive after school.  If a student attends Macy McClaugherty, he or she will ride the school bus to us.  If they attend Narrows Elementary, Eastern Elementary or Jefferson Christian Academy (JCA), we will provide transportation to our site.  If schools are closed for any reason such as inclement weather or holidays, they are eligible to attend all day for an additional cost.  When able, we do offer assistance with projects and homework. 

During the summer once schools are on break, students are with us daily.  We seek to keep them busy and always have activities planned such as visiting the pool one to two times per week, bi-weekly trips to Claytor Lake State Park and trips to various parks.  

Our school age program is currently located at the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church in Pearisburg.  This allows us greater room and flexibility with access to several classrooms, the Fellowship Hall, outdoor space and an easy walk to the playground at Macy McClaugherty.
